Unlocking Pyros

Quest Name: Lvl 70 And We Shall Call it Pyros

NPC: Rodney, Kugane Pier #1

Pre-requisite: All Pagos quest to be completed

Levelling Guide

1. Remember to attune to the main aetheryte! 

2. Dragons are not friends! Switch mode to "RP Walk" to avoid waking them up! Check your keybind!

3. Remember your Potion of Harmony! Check if there is an Elemental Fairy near you!

4. Keep your chain bonus up! 

5. Attend as many NMs as you can!

6. Unlock your logograms as you level!

7. Recommended to play DPS or Tanks with the following logos actions: 

• All DPS are great due to naturally high DPS, 80% damage reduction from Platebearer, and powerful self-healing provided by logos actions.

• All tanks are great due to naturally high defense, 40% increased damage from Martialist, and powerful self-healing provided by logos actions.

• Healers are not typically recommended due to low DPS and having to choose either Aetherweaver for DPS or Platebearer for survivability.

8. Penthesilea (EL50) will drop 3 Penthesilea's Flames upon Gold completion of the NM and you are at EL49/EL50. You will require 5  Penthesilea's Flames to complete your Pyros weapon. You can also obtain this by trading Pyros Crystals with the Bird Watcher NPC (Only recommended if you have an excess of crystals and bad luck with Penthesilea spawn windows).

9. In addition, You will also require 650 Pyros Crystals in total to start and fully progress your weapon.
   Elemental +1  → Elemental +2 → Pyros 

10. It is recommended to complete your weapon before moving on to Hydatos!

11. The other 3 aetherytes will be unlocked at:

• EL 37:  The Dragon Star Observatory

• EL 39: The Firing Chamber

• EL 41: Carbonatite Quarry

Reflect Farming

From EL 40 onwards, You can level by Reflect L farming.

At Carbonatite Quarry, you can reflect Pure White Flame with the right weather.

Mutation Farming with Platebearer + Bloodbath DPS

Required Actions (Apply in this Order): 

1. Protect / Shell

2. Spirit of the Remembered

3. Wisdom of the Platebearer + Bloodbath L 

Mutation Farming with Martialist + Bloodbath Tank

Required Actions (Apply in this Order): 

1. Protect / Shell

2. Spirit of the Remembered

3. Wisdom of the Martialist + Bloodbath L 

• Both these builds allow you to tank a large number of enemies that are a lot higher EL than you.

• Bloodbath L allows you to heal as much damage you deal. 

• Please be careful! If unsure of how many you can handle, please have a healer or a friend with Phoenix Down or Raise L on standby to support you in case you die.

Leveling Logos Trays

Pyros Quests

On Entry

• Talk to Krile and then talk to Krile again in The Living Foundry just to the north. 

• Then return to the center of Northpoint and talk to Gerolt and then Drake. 

• Use the Logos Manipulator to unlock it, select the Paralyze L logogram and extract the mneme. 

• Talk again to Drake. 

• Talk to Krile. 

• Travel to x27.7, y27.1 in Northeastern Ice Needles and interact with the confluence, then return and talk one last time to Krile.

Level 37

• You can attune to the aetheryte at The Dragon Star Observatory.

Level 38

• Talk to Krile and then Drake. 

• Head to The Surgate Town House and interact with the "Promising Scrap" at x18.6, y30.6. 

• Return and talk to Drake and unlock additional capacity with the logos manipulator.

• Talk to Krile. 

• Head to The Firing Chamber at 23.8-17 and interact with the confluence. 

• Talk to Krile to complete the quest.

Level 39

• You can attune to the aetheryte at The Firing Chamber.

Level 40

• Talk to Krile and head over to West Flamerock at x17.2, y11.6 and pick up the confluence. 

• Once you have done so, return to Krile to complete the quest.

Level 41

• You can attune to the aetheryte at Carbonatite Quarry.

Level 45

• Talk to Krile and after a few cutscenes, speak with her again at The Living Foundry.

Level 50

• Talk to Krile and then proceed to pick up the confluence at East Flamerock - x34.0, y7.3. 

• Return to Krile and speak with her before traveling south to The Cavern of the Second Cant - x14.5, y37.6.

Spawned By: Every 15mins after the previous EL35 Bunny Fate & all bunny has returned.

EL 46: Uncommon Nonsense (Bunny Fate)

Spawned By: Every 15mins after the previous EL46 Bunny Fate & all bunny has returned.

Drops: 3 Pyros Lockbox

Pyros Forge

1. There are a lot of dangerous enemies in your path, be careful!

2. Nearest Aetheryte: EL 41 Carbonatite Quarry.

3. Walk straight towards the Northern Grizzlys, continue down the path.

4. Head up once you see an intersection, towards the dragon. 

5. Remember to "RP Walk"!

6. Once you reach the end, turn right and follow the map to the forge. 

7. You can run to the furthest corner in the forge to de-aggro some enemies chasing you.

8. You have arrived at your destination!

Dragon!

• Change your movement to "Walk" to avoid waking the dragon when you walk past it. 

• Remember to not be aggro-ed to the dragon when you jump, you will die!

• To exit the forge, you can retrace your steps, or {Return} to base

• If you do not have any elemental buffs, you can also exit Pyros and re-enter.

What to do?

• You can turn your kettle light into Smoldering Protean Crystals by interacting with the forge.

• You need 2 Smoldering Protean Crystal per roll of the stats. 

• Each kettle can hold 9 light at max

• It is advisable to only roll for stats when you have completed the Eureka Weapon!

• You can have only a maximum of 5 lines of stats for a Weapon.

• This is not necessary to do for progression!

Mutation 

All mobs mutate in pyros, based on chance, weather, and low enough HP.

Magicite Upgrades

You can collect these 3 Magicite items in pyros (Lamebrix's Dice, Ying-Yang's Tissue, Skoll's Claw) to exchange for an extra Magicite to slot into your Magia Board. 

• For recommended magia builds, Please see Veteran Survival Guide.

• These items are not compulsory for the completion of Eureka, but to make life easier for players who intend to play Eureka for a longer period of time. 

• It is alright to not have any extra Magicite. You can also sell these Magicite Items for a significant amount of Gil on the market board!
