Unlocking Pagos

Quest Name: Lvl 70 And We Shall Call it Pagos

NPC: Rodney, Kugane Pier #1

Pre-requisite: All Anemos quests to be completed.

Levelling Guide

1. Remember to attune to the main aetheryte! 

2. Dragons are not friends! Switch mode to "RP Walk" to avoid waking them up! Check your keybind!

3. Starting out the same, target enemy that are +1 above you. 

Remember your Potion of Harmony! Check if there is an Elemental Fairy near you!

4. When at the appropriate EL level (1EL below), target the enemies that can spawn an NM.

5. Prioritize getting to EL25 to unlock the pagos kettle! Talk to Gerolt to unlock!

6. Keep your chain bonus up! 

7. Attend as many NMs as you can!

8. If you have a friend/party with you, it is possible to challenge more enemies or +2 EL levels above. Be careful!

9. Louhi (EL35) will drop 2 Louhi Ice upon Gold completion of the NM and you are at EL19/EL20. You will require 5 Louhi Ice to complete your Elemental weapon. You can also obtain this by trading Pagos Crystals with the Bird Watcher NPC (Only recommended if you have an excess of crystals and bad luck with Louhi spawn windows).

10. In addition, ou will also require 31 Frosted Protean Crystals and 500 Pagos Crystals in total to start and fully progress your weapon.
    Pagos  → Pagos +1 → Elemental 

11. It is recommended to complete your weapon before moving on to Pyros!

12. The other 3 aetherytes will be unlocked at 

• EL 21: Vlondette's Retreat

• EL 23: Geothermal Studies

• EL 25: Gravitational Studies

Pagos Quests

Level 21

Talk to Krile. 

Locate the Depleted Aetherial Stream at The Cones (16.5,28.8) (upper level on a raised grassy hill). 

Return and talk to Krile.

You can attune to the aetheryte at Vlondette's Retreat.

Level 23

Talk to Krile. 

Locate the Depleted Aetherial Stream at The Val River Belly (26.7,30.7). 

Return and talk to Krile

You can attune to the aetheryte at Geothermal Studies.

Level 25

Talk to Krile. 

Next, locate the magicite at The Eastern Edge (30.9,20.7), and also inspect The Eastern Edge (30.7,21.0) and return to Krile. 

You can also speak with Gerolt any time after first speaking to Krile to unlock Eureka Pagos weapon enhancement.

You can attune to the aetheryte at Gravitational Studies.

Level 29

Talk to Krile. 

Talk to Ejika Tsunjika on a ledge in The Western Edge. 

You will need to walk through Hot Water and drop down at (9.9,21.3). 

Return and talk to Krile.

Level 35

Talk to Krile. 

Locate the aether column at The Fumarole (21.8-12.4).

Return and talk to Krile.

Tip: Go during Daytime!

Spawned By: Every 15mins after the previous Bunny Fate & all bunny have returned.

Pagos Forge & Frosted Crystals

1. Go to Geothermal Aetheryte

2. Go all the way straight towards the cliff edge

3. Hug the wall to the right

4. Jump off to the ledge below

5. Once Dragon is in range, change to "RP Walk"

6. Enter the cave

7. You have arrived at your destination!

Dragon!

• Change your movement to "Walk" to avoid waking the dragon when you walk past it. 

• Remember to not be aggro-ed by the dragon when you jump, you will die!

• To exit the forge, you can jump off the cliff behind the dragon for the quickest exit, or to {Return} to base.

• If you do not have any elemental buffs, you can also exit Pagos and re-enter.

What to do?

• You can turn your kettle light into Frosted Protean Crystals by interacting with the forge.

• You need 31 Frosted Protean Crystal in total to progress 1 weapon. 

• Each kettle can hold 9 light at max.

• You can unlock kettle at EL25 with Gerolt.

Mutation 

All mobs mutate in pagos, based on chance, weather, and low enough HP.

Cassie Earring

EL 35: Cassie and the Copycats (Cassie)

Spawned By: EL40 Ameretat

Drops: 9 Pagos Lockbox, 40 Pagos Crystals,  Cassie Earring (Earring)

Note: Ameretat gives a lot of light, join in as many Cassie Spawning (when eligible) for a fast way to farm Kettle Light!

Cassie Earring is not a unique accessory, you can receive one more even when you have another equipped / in your inventory.

Speed Belt Blitz Ring (Unique)

EL 29: Morte Arthro (King Arthro aka Crab)

Spawned By: EL 34 Val Snipper

Drops: 6 Pagos Lockbox, 24 Pagos Crystals, BlitzRing (Accessories)

Please note that BlitzRing is a UNIQUE accessory! You cannot receive one more if you already have 1 equipped or in your inventory! Place them in your saddlebag!

Go to Calamity Salvagers to trade if you still have speed belt instead
