Unlocking Hydatos

Quest Name: Lvl 70 And We Shall Call it Hydatos

Pre-requisite: All Pyros quest to be completed

Levelling Guide

1. Remember to attune to the main aetheryte! 

2. Remember your Potion of Harmony! Check if there is an Elemental Fairy near you!

3. Keep your chain bonus up! 

4. Attend as many NMs as you can!

5. Use your logograms while leveling!

6. Recommended to play DPS or Tanks with the following logos actions: 

• All DPS are great due to naturally high DPS, 80% damage reduction from Platebearer, and powerful self-healing provided by logos actions.

• All tanks are great due to naturally high defense, 40% increased damage from Martialist, and powerful self-healing provided by logos actions.

• Healers are not typically recommended due to low DPS and having to choose either Aetherweaver for DPS or Platebearer for survivability.

7. Provenance Watcher (EL60) will drop 3 Crystalline Scales upon Gold completion of the NM and you are at EL59/EL60. You will require 5 Crystalline Scales to complete your Eureka weapon. (There is no option to trade for these with the bird watcher NPC).

8. In addition, You will also require 350 Hydatos Crystals in total to start and fully progress your weapon.
   Hydatos  → Hydatos +1 → Base Eureka → Eureka → Physeos 

9. Prioritize progressing your Elemental Gear before continuing on the Eureka Weapon!

10. The fully upgraded weapon looks the same as Eureka stage.

11. The other 2 aetherytes will be unlocked at:

• EL 51: Unverified Research

• EL 55: Dormitory

Reflect Farming

From EL 58 onwards, you can level by Reflect L farming.

On the bottom right corner of the map, there is a small island surrounded by water that houses only sprites, fondly known as the "Sprite Island".

Similar to leveling in Pyros, you can reflect these Sprites to level up.

Mutation Farming with Platebearer + Bloodbath

Required Actions (Apply in this Order): 

1. (Optional, but recommended) Protect / Shell

2. Spirit of the Remembered

3. Wisdom of the Platebearer + Bloodbath L 

Mutation Farming with Martialist + Bloodbath Warrior

Required Actions (Apply in this Order): 

1. (Optional, but recommended) Protect / Shell

2. Spirit of the Remembered

3. Wisdom of the Martialist + Bloodbath L 

• Both these builds allow you to tank a large number of enemies that are a lot higher EL than you.

• Bloodbath L allows you to heal as much damage you deal. 

• Please be careful! If unsure of how many you can handle, please have a healer or a friend with Phoenix Down or Raise L on standby to support you in case you die.

Logos Action Loadouts

Hydatos Quests

On Entry

Talk to Krile and then, after a cutscene, to Gerolt.

 After another cutscene, speak again with Krile. 

Upon finishing the quest, you can speak with Gerolt again to begin purchasing the Hydatos weapons; you must have a matching, finished Pyros weapon to do so.

Level 51

Talk to Krile. 

Head to The Central Columns at 20.3-24.8 and talk again to Krile. 

Head south to The Val River Source 25.7-30.7 to find the Pooled Aether. 

Return to The Central Columns and speak to Krile.

You can attune to the aetheryte at Unverified Research.

Level 54

Talk to Krile. 

Head to The Western Columns at 10.6-29.6 and talk to Krile again. 

Head to The West Val River Bank 6.5-15.7 to find the Pooled Aether after walking up the large column. 

Return to The Western Columnsat 10.6-29.6 and talk to Krile.

Level 55

You can attune to the aetheryte at Dormitory.

Level 57

Talk to Krile at The Western Columns at 10.6-29.6. 

Then head east to The Eastern Columns at 31.3-27.2 and talk to Krile again. 

Head north to The East Val River Bank at 30.8-14.4 to find the Pooled Aether. 

Return to The Eastern Columns at 31.3-27.2 and talk to Krile.

Level 60

Talk to Krile at The Eastern Columns at 31.3-27.2. 

Head to The Aetherbridge Foundation at 24.0-30.6 and talk again to Krile. 

Head into the  Headquarters Entrance and talk to Krile, then talk to her again in the Board Room. 

Interact with the Scattered Tomes and talk again to Krile for a few lengthy cutscenes. 

Choose between Krile's path (sealing) or that of Ejika Tsunjika (destruction) for another cutscene.

Return to Central Point and talk to Ejika Tsunjika (when doing Krile's path) or Krile (when doing Ejika's path) to complete the quest.

Able to use the Aetherial Nodes to access The Baldesion Arsenal. Speak with the Expedition Scholar to unlock.

They respawn every 15mins.

Mutation 

All mobs are guaranteed to mutate in Hydatos, with the right weather and are engaged in battle.

Magicite Upgrades

You can collect these 3 Magicite Items in Hydatos (Molech's Horn, Goldemar's Horn, Ceto's Claw) to exchange for an extra Magicite to slot into your Magia Board. 

• For recommended magia builds, please see Veteran Survival Guide.

• These items are not compulsory for the completion of Eureka, but to make life easier for players who intend to play Eureka for a longer period of time. 

• It is alright to not have any extra Magicite. You can also sell these Magicite Items for a significant amount of Gil on the market board!
