BA Healer Beginner's Guide
Healers also fill a critical role in the party. In addition to healing, there are several healer-exclusive logos actions that smooth out the run tremendously.
New Player Healer Responsibilities
Keep the party alive (and preferably topped off) through mechanics and recoverable mistakes.
Bring the necessary logos utility actions to support your party through the run.
Using healer LB3 to raise dead party members when able.
Magicite Configuration
Due to the raise restriction inside of BA and the key support capabilities exclusive to healers, new healers may opt to use 5 defensive magicite for the 50% damage reduction during the run.
Refresh L
Refresh L helps to more quickly restore the magia board charges. It is the most important healer action for the first half of BA in ensuring a smooth BA Experience. As a new player, it is always important to confirm that your party has this logos action.
If you are the healer in the party that is carrying this action it is important that you make sure to keep it up throughout the pulls. By keeping the Refresh L buff active, your party will be able to spin their magia board more freely to help clear faster and safer.
Playstyle
Due to the nature of BA's limited ability to raise downed players, safety is generally preferable to optimizing for DPS. This is especially true as a healer where keeping the party topped up and (if SCH/SGE) shielding in preparation for every set of raidwides regardless of the impact to your DPS contribution or the amount of overhealing that you do.
Optimizing healer DPS only comes once you are a veteran or when you are attempting to complete undersized runs (fewer than 24 players) where maximizing DPS is significantly more important.
[Beginner] Action Loadouts
As new healers in BA will typically be running defensive logos actions, the majority will need to run either Wisdom of the Ordained or Wisdom of the Templar to maximize their healing output and shield size.
Note: Logos Action order affects which duty action it will be slotted into. Feel free to use the "Swap" action at the Logos Manipulator for the most comfortable keybinds.
Refresh L
IMPORTANT: This is the most important support ability that you can bring for the first half of BA.
Typically you should use Refresh anytime your party would use magia charges. When in doubt, cast Refresh L when it's not already active on the party.
Tip: In most cases, pairing with swiftcast allows you to stay more mobile as you clear the dungeon. Usually, this is more than enough to sustain your party's magia board throughout the dungeon.
Rejuvenate L
Restores 50% of your HP and MP. This is primarily used to regenerate your MP, but can also be used for survivability when you take surprise damage.
On Entry
Crack the following two trays, in order Spirit of the Remembered first, Refresh Tray second (optionally Rejuv Tray if your party already has refresh covered).
Spirit of the Remembered
This should be cracked and used on entry.
Refresh Tray
Ordained + Refresh L is the default trays to use upon entry into BA.
Note: If you have another healer with Refresh L, you can opt to switch it for Rejuvenate L instead.
Rejuv Tray
Ordained + Rejuvenate is a good secondary beginner tray to ensure that you have a lot of additional mana to heal.
Recommended Holsters
3-tray Healer Loadout #1
This loadout provides you with the bare essentials. Refresh L can be switched out for Rejuvenate if you are in a party with two healers.
Optionally: With a fourth tray, you can add a second spirit of the remembered.
3-tray Healer Loadout #2
This loadout is not advised because you lose critical support actions for the additional spirit of the remembered charges
6 Tray New HealerLoadout
This tray provides a backup Refresh L (in the event that you are downed) along with two rejuvenate trays for later in BA.
If your cohealer is bringing refresh, it is still useful to bring a spare, just in case.

[Intermediate] Useful Wisdom and Logos Options for Healers
Healer Wisdoms
Only one of the following should be used at a time in BA.
Wisdom of the Aetherweaver - The DPS healer wisdom. This can be used once you are more comfortable with BA and do not need the additional MP pool or healing output.
Wisdom of the Ordained - The budget healing wisdom. It is a solid middle ground for healing and a 50% larger MP pool which improves MP economy on healers.
Wisdom of the Templar - The high-performance healing wisdom. This is a more expensive version of ordained with better healing throughput. This is very useful to have available to you when you are.
Useful Logos Actions
The following logos actions are useful to bring in place of Rejuvenate or your reserve Spirit of the Remembered trays.
Protect L - Increases physical defense, this is primarily important for the tanks, but can be the difference from dying to certain mechanics or accidentally pulling mobs.
Shell L - Increases magic defense Special note: Use the Protect L + Esuna Mneme which come from fundamental logograms. Shell L mneme comes from mitigatives which is expensive and should be saved for most other roles.
Bravery L - An expensive, yet powerful 10% DPS buff that lasts 5 minutes. This can be used to further enhance the raid DPS. These require protective mnemes and therefore is largely a bonus and not required to bring.
Useful for the first half of BA, unnecessary from Boss 3 onwards
Paralyze III L - This can be very useful for giving MTs a bit of survivability if paralyze procs correctly. It also can interrupt some of the high damage abilities that mobs have, such as the biblyos magic hammer
Death L - While it cannot be used on bosses, it can be very useful in speeding up the run when you hit high health mobs with it.
When the raid has too many healers
Magic Burst L + Wisdom of the Aetherweaver - When you have an excessive number of healers in a raid (more then 2 per party) and might need additional DPS to compensate, this will give you a 20 seconds of double damage every 90 seconds. Great cooldown.
